Recently Concluded Long-Life Puja for His Eminence Drubthob Rinpoche
For many centuries, Tibetan Buddhists have offered long life pujas to their immeasurable spiritual teachers. The long life puja purifies and strengthens the relationship between teacher and disciple, and creates the merit for the teacher to remain among us. Since all realization depends on the blessing and guidance of the teacher, this ritual offering practice is extraordinarily precious.
The long life puja was led by Geshe Lungrik La and taiwanese disciple with the attendance of local communities and monks and nuns of surrounding monasteries. Long life puja was held after much persuasion from our Taiwanese disciples led by Annie and Yentle Cheng. This is a great opportunity for all devotees to accumulate much merit by honoring our Guru, to pray for his long and healthy life and request him to further guide us along our spiritual path as he continues to benefit countless sentient beings. Rinpoche la’s teaching and guidance are much needed in our turbulent and strayed life especially in political leaders of Nepal if only they have time to listen.
Unpredictable monsoon rain was kind enough to stay away while the ritual process was set motion by chant master Ven. Dondup Lama followed by dakini dance and offering of traditional offering scarves to Rinpoche La.
After the Great Conclusion of the Long-Life Puja Ceremony, the Woechen Thukje Choeling,Swayambhu offered a grand Luncheon to all of the participants of the event. We were deeply honored to have received the Blessings and presence of His Eminence Drubthod Rinpoche. We express our deep gratitude to all Taiwanese disciples and all participant to offering a Long-Life Puja to His Eminence Drubthob Rinpoche.
